Besiktas tries its luck for Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku's future could very well be decided in Turkey. Turkish outlet Fanatik reports that Besiktas is highly interested in the Belgian striker and plans to take advantage of his uncertain situation at Napoli.

After his permanent move to Napoli in 2024 from Chelsea, Lukaku enjoyed a strong first season with the Italian club, helping them secure the Serie A title. However, the following campaign proved to be much more challenging for the Belgian international. Hampered by several injuries, the 33-year-old managed to feature in just five league matches, scoring only once.

Besiktas and their new coach Vincenzo Italiano are particularly fond of the Belgian striker's profile and would like to make him a key piece of their project. The Turkish club has reportedly already started talks with Napoli and with the player's entourage. Lukaku, whose contract runs until 2027, is said to be open to a move to Turkey.
