Breaking: Barcelona reach full agreement with Croatian Dominik Livakovic
According to reports, after Ivan Rakitic, there will be another Croatian player at Barcelona. The Catalan club has reached an official agreement with Fenerbahce to acquire the services of Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic for €3 million.
Negotiations between Barcelona and Fenerbahce are in advanced stages!
Press reports have revealed that Barcelona is in advanced stages of negotiations with Galatasaray to acquire the services of the Croatian goalkeeper, who has been performing exceptionally well with the Croatian national team and his Turkish club.
Barcelona's initial plan is to sign the Croatian star, then send him to Dinamo Zagreb on loan for one season, and then bring him back to the team. He will be Barcelona's second choice after Juan Garcia, who seems to be Barcelona's first choice for a long time.
If the plan to loan him to another team doesn't work out, Barcelona could opt to sell him and register him directly with the first team, making him available to coach Hansi Flick. However, this will certainly not happen unless the salary structure is fully agreed upon.
The player's agent played a key role in the negotiations with Barcelona
Agent Andy Bara is said to have played a key role throughout the negotiations, with his existing ties to Barcelona helping to shape a proposal that might work for everyone concerned. The keeper's displays at the 2026 World Cup only deepened Barcelona's conviction that he would be a valuable addition. Keen to avoid delaying until Szczesny departs, the club are eager to finalise matters early. Livakovic is no stranger to Spain, having previously spent time at Girona on loan from Fenerbahce, though he never featured for them and that spell was cut short prematurely.
