Breaking: Bayern Munich sets a date to make a move for Dani Olmo

Bayern Munich are considering a potential January move for Barcelona forward Dani Olmo as they prepare contingency plans for their attacking department. Sky Sports reports that the German champions have maintained a long-term interest in the Spain international and are monitoring his situation at Barcelona.

Bayern's interest is partly connected to uncertainty surrounding the futures of several attacking players. With other clubs showing interest in players such as Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise, Bayern are reportedly examining alternative options should they need to strengthen their forward line during the winter transfer window.

A move in January for Olmo

Olmo would represent an expensive option. His valuation is understood to be around £60 million, or approximately €70 million. Bayern are familiar with the player from his successful four-year spell at RB Leipzig, where he established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most creative attacking midfielders.

The 28-year-old moved to Barcelona in 2024 after developing his reputation in Germany. He has subsequently become an important member of the Catalan squad and has continued to represent Spain at international level.

At this stage, there is no indication that Bayern have made a formal offer. The story is instead about contingency planning and continued interest. Barcelona's position will ultimately be crucial if Bayern decide to turn their interest into an official approach
