Burkina Faso: Faad Sana rejects Stallions call-up
Faad Sana has turned down a call-up from Burkina Faso’s Stallions. Head coach Amir Abdou confirmed the news during a press conference on March 23.
He received an invitation from Burkina Faso for the March 2026 international break. At the same time, Togo, his mother’s country, reached out, and the former U-20 international (with two caps) chose to join the Hawks of Togo.
Amir Abdou explained that the defender withdrew at the very last moment.
The squad was supposed to be 26 players, and Faad Sana, who joined Togo, was meant to be on our list. He gave us his consent but changed his mind at the last minute. We can only wonder. He’s a young fullback developed here in Burkina Faso, but he’s chosen his mother’s nationality. I wish him the best for his future.
Faad Sana is a modern 22-year-old right-back who plays in the Slovenian top division with NŠ Mura.
