Al Hilal Omdurman showed no mercy. The Sudanese club beat Aigle Noir of Burundi 1-0 on 12 September at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali in the second leg of the first round of the CAF Champions League.

Having already won 2-0 in the first leg, “The Blue Wave” confirmed their superiority and comfortably secured their place in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. A 3-0 aggregate victory.

One goal was enough to seal the deal

Against the Burundians, Al Hilal controlled the match from start to finish. Amed Salem scored the only goal of the match. A narrow but deserved victory for the Sudanese giants, who were never really troubled over the two legs.

On to the second round

With this qualification, Al Hilal Omdurman continue their journey in the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League. Having regularly reached the group stages and the quarter-finals last season, the club are aiming to go even further this season.
