The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Somali referee Omar Artan to officiate the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final between South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Egypt's Al Ahly. This highly anticipated clash will take place on Saturday, April 19, in Pretoria.
For this encounter, Artan will be assisted by Kenyans Gilbert Cheruiyot and Stephen Onyango, while Peter Kamamu, also from Kenya, will serve as the fourth official. The VAR technology will be overseen by Gabon's Pierre Ghislain Atcho, with his assistant, Ghanaian Daniel Laryea.
