CAF Champions League: Yanga and Simba SC qualify to represent Tanzania
As usual, Tanzania will be represented by Young Africans and Simba SC in the CAF Champions League. Matchday 28 of the Premier League confirmed what everyone was expecting.
Yanga thrashed Azam FC 3-0. With 69 points, the league leaders had already secured their Champions League spot even before this match. This victory only strengthens their dominance and brings them even closer to clinching the title.
Simba SC booked their ticket after a 3-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar. The "Msimbazi" raised their tally to 67 points and capitalized on Azam's defeat to lock in the second qualifying spot.
As for Azam, who were beaten by Yanga, they will have to settle for a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
