CAF CL: Al Ahly coach wary of Mamelodi Sundowns

Marcel Koller, the coach of Al Ahly, has expressed caution ahead of the CAF Champions League semi-finals, where his team will once again face the Mamelodi Sundowns. This will be the seventh consecutive clash between the two African giants.

Al Ahly, after eliminating Al Hilal Omdurman (2-0 on aggregate), seeks to clinch their third consecutive title. On the other side, the Sundowns, victorious over Espérance Sportive de Tunis (1-0 on aggregate), remain a formidable team, having been crowned in 2016. Marcel Koller, though confident in his team's ability to go all the way in this competition, remains vigilant:

We have faced Sundowns several times. Sundowns is a motivated opponent, and we expect another tough encounter. All possibilities are open for Sundowns.

Furthermore, Al Ahly has never beaten the Sundowns under the Swiss coach's guidance, after four meetings. The challenge is significant, but the goal remains unchanged for Koller and his players: "we want to win a third consecutive title and achieve a historic feat".
