The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is holding the draw for the first and second preliminary rounds of the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup this Thursday, starting at 11:00 GMT.

The ceremony will take place at CAF headquarters in Cairo, with representatives from all 56 qualified clubs for this new edition in attendance.

The first preliminary round will be held from September 4 to 13, with the second round scheduled for October 16 to 25. The group stage is set to kick off on November 27 and 28, ahead of the knockout rounds taking place between February and April 2027.

However, CAF has yet to officially announce the date for the final. The continental body has only stated that the final will be played between May 9 and May 31, 2027.

For the record, USM Alger will begin this new campaign as the defending champions of the CAF Confederation Cup, while Mamelodi Sundowns will take part as the reigning CAF Champions League winners.
