CAF Confederation Cup: 5 must-see fixtures in the second preliminary round
32 teams are competing for 16 places in the group stage of the Confederation Cup. Discover the five standout fixtures in this second preliminary round.
AFAD Djékanou – CS Sfaxien
CS Sfaxien had to come from behind against Shooting Stars to qualify for the second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup. The Tunisians lost the first leg (1-0) before winning the return leg (0-2) to qualify.
They will face AFAD Djékanou, who eliminated East End Lions (1-1, 2-2) thanks to the away-goals rule.

ES Zarzis - Real Bamako
On their return to competition after several years away, ES Zarzis made it through the first round by overcoming Senegalese side Diambars. However, Zarzis have another major challenge to overcome if they are to qualify for the group stage for the first time.
AS Real Bamako qualified by beating Vitesse FC (1-2) before preserving their advantage in the return leg (0-0). The Malians have more experience in Africa, but anything remains possible in this tie.
Kabuscorp SCP - AS Maniema Union
The Angolans won both of their one-sided matches against University of Namibia FC (0-2) and (1-3), while AS Maniema Union were among the eight teams exempted from this round, along with Al-Ahly, USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, AS FAR, Raja Casablanca, Azam and Kaier Chiefs.
CO Korhogo – AS FAR
After drawing 2-2 with AS PSI, CO Korhogo beat the Chadians (0-2) to reach the second round. A deserved qualification gives them the chance to face a major opponent, AS FAR, who were exempted from the first round.

ZED FC – Azam FC
After overcoming Djiboutian club ASDT Ali Sabieh (4-0, 1-1), Egypt’s ZED FC will face Azam FC for a place in the group stage.
The Tanzanians were exempted based on the African ranking of the Tanzanian league.
