CAF Confederation Cup: Azam FC and Singida Stars qualify to represent Tanzania

Tanzania now knows its representatives in the African competitions for the 2026-2027 season. Yanga and Simba are heading to the CAF Champions League. As for the CAF Confederation Cup, Tanzania will rely on Azam FC and Singida Black Stars.

Azam FC is currently in third place in the league with 58 points after their 3-0 defeat to Yanga. The "Chamazi Boys" fell short in their push for a Champions League spot but have secured their ticket to Africa’s second-tier competition.

Singida Black Stars complete the picture. The team clinched a 3-1 victory over Tanzania Prisons in Matchweek 28, a result that secured fourth place with 50 points and the second CAF Confederation Cup spot.

This means Dar es Salaam will have three of its giants on the continental stage: Yanga and Simba in the Champions League, and Azam in the Confederation Cup.
