CAF unveils schedule for its interclub competitions

The Confederation of African Football has published on its official website the schedule for its interclub competitions for the 2026-2027 season.

The season will kick off on September 4 with the first leg matches of the opening preliminary round, followed by the return legs one week later.

The finals are scheduled between May 9 and May 31, according to the official statement from Africa's football governing body.

Let's recall that Mamelodi Sundowns are the reigning CAF Champions League titleholders after their victory in the final against AS FAR, while USM Alger clinched the CAF Confederation Cup following their penalty shootout win over Zamalek.

• First preliminary round (First leg): September 4-6, 2026

• First preliminary round (Second leg): September 11-13, 2026

• Second preliminary round (First leg): October 16-18, 2026

• Second preliminary round (Second leg): October 23-25, 2026

Group Stage Schedule

• Matchday 1: November 27-29, 2026

• Matchday 2: December 4-6, 2026
