Cameroon: Valentine Nguel appointed head coach of the Indomitable Lionesses

A new era begins at the helm of Cameroon’s women’s national team. On June 12, the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) announced the appointment of Valentine Nguel as head coach and technical director of the Indomitable Lionesses, succeeding Jean Baptiste Bisseck.

Until now, Valentine Nguel was the coach of FC Ebolowa in the Guinness Women’s Super League. Her experience and reputation for tactical discipline made her the standout choice for this role. Known for her “warrior mentality” philosophy, she led her club on an impressive winning streak in the domestic league.

Valentine Nguel takes over at a pivotal moment, tasked with leading the Indomitable Lionesses toward the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in just 45 days on July 25 in Morocco.
