While CAF has announced numerous sanctions against Senegal and Morocco on Wednesday night, the referee of the CAN 2025 final, Jean-Jacques Ndala, has been completely cleared.

After several days of thorough analysis of the CAN 2025 final case, CAF dispelled all doubts on Wednesday night. The governing body announced sanctions against Morocco and Senegal. However, regarding Jean-Jacques Ndala, CAF found no irregularities whatsoever.

The African football authority highlighted the quality of the decisions made on the pitch, confirming that the referee fully adhered to the laws of the game. This verdict brings an end to a period of uncertainty and heated debate in the sports media. By exonerating the Congolese official, CAF reaffirms its support for the continent's top referees.
