A devastating blow for Morocco. Azzedine Ounahi has been ruled out for the remainder of CAN 2025.

After narrowly securing a spot in the CAN 2025 quarter-finals, Morocco will now have to continue their campaign without Azzedine Ounahi. Already sidelined for the clash against Tanzania (1-0) on Sunday, the Girona midfielder was seen at the stadium on crutches with a protective boot on his left foot.

After securing their quarter-final berth, Morocco head coach Walid Regragui confirmed that the former Marseille player is suffering from a calf tear. The setback, which emerged during Saturday's training session, will keep him off the pitch for the next 5 to 6 weeks.
