According to information provided by Ibrahim Hassan, director of the Egyptian national team, via the official website of the Egyptian Football Association, the Pharaohs will host Angola on September 25 at Cairo International Stadium. Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT.
Four days later, Egypt will travel to Juba to face South Sudan on September 29 in their second qualifier. The match will get underway at 12:00 GMT.
The Pharaohs are drawn in Group B alongside Angola, South Sudan, and Malawi. They are aiming for a strong start to edge closer to qualification for CAN 2027.
Additionally, according to the same source, the Egyptian coaching staff is working on scheduling a friendly match during the next international break to sharpen their preparations for the upcoming challenges.
With seven titles, Egypt remains the most decorated nation in CAN history. In the last edition held in Morocco in 2025, the Pharaohs finished in fourth place.
