CAN 2027 qualifiers: How does Algeria stack up against its Group I opponents?

The Algerian national team has discovered its adversaries for the CAN 2027 qualifiers. Drawn into Group I after the CAF ceremony in Cairo, the Fennecs will face Zambia, Togo, and Burundi in a group that, at least on paper, seems well within their grasp. The top two teams will qualify directly for the finals, set to take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Zambia: The main threat in the group

Zambia stands out as the fiercest rival for Vladimir Petkovic’s men. Matches between these two nations have often been thrilling and fiercely contested.
