The story between Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazilian national team is far from over. According to several Brazilian media outlets, the Brazilian Football Confederation is working on extending the Italian coach's contract until 2030.

Ancelotti, who arrived in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid, had initially signed on until the 2026 World Cup. However, the CBF quickly made it clear that they wanted to embark on a long-term project with the 66-year-old tactician.

A preliminary agreement is reportedly already in place. This would allow Ancelotti to lead the Seleção at the next Copa América and the following World Cup. The coach is expected in Brazil in February to finalize the remaining details. Financially, Ancelotti could earn nearly €10 million per season, with a bonus of around €5 million should he clinch the world title.
