The CD Leganés faces Real Madrid this Saturday, March 29, in the 29th round of the Spanish La Liga. However, uncertainty looms over the participation of their Cameroonian midfielder, Yvan Neyou.

On March 16, during the match between CD Leganés and Real Betis, Yvan Neyou was forced to leave the field in the 75th minute due to quadriceps pain. Despite this discomfort, he joined the Cameroonian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. However, he did not participate in the match against Eswatini on March 19 nor in the clash against Libya on March 25. These absences have heightened concerns about the severity of his injury.

Information regarding Neyou's health remains unclear. Some sources mention a severe muscle injury, while others suggest a minor discomfort. Neither CD Leganés nor the Cameroonian Football Federation has released an official statement on the matter.

This uncertainty complicates CD Leganés' preparations for their trip to the Santiago Bernabéu. Coach Borja Jiménez also has to deal with the absences of Seydouba Cissé and Renato Tapia, both on international duty. The late return of these players might limit their availability for the match against Real Madrid.
