It’s a tightly contested battle between PSG and AS Monaco at the end of the first half of this Champions League play-off second leg. Akliouche managed to break the deadlock for the visitors just before halftime.

AS Monaco lead on PSG’s turf (1-0) at the break. The club from the Principality has overturned its deficit after the first 45 minutes. Indeed, after about ten minutes, Monaco created a huge opportunity to open the scoring. Following a pass from Balogun, Akliouche outmaneuvered the Parisian defense to deliver a cross in front of goal for Coulibaly, who, completely unmarked, fired over the bar.

After being rattled and showing little threat during the opening half-hour, Luis Enrique’s men could have capitalized on a poor clearance from Köhn to score against the run of play. But Doué completely missed his chance. Ultimately, Akliouche found the breakthrough for Monaco with a left-footed strike from the penalty spot after a pass from Coulibaly (0-1, 45’)!
