Champions League: Arsenal make it 14 consecutive wins in the league phase

Arsenal have won their last 14 league-phase matches in the Champions League, a run that began in November 2024 and was extended by their 3-0 victory over Lille on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Mikel Arteta’s Gunners notably defeated Bayern Munich, Atlético de Madrid and Inter Milan during this period.

Arsenal’s run spans three European seasons. It began after a 1-0 defeat away to Inter Milan on November 6, 2024. The Londoners then returned to winning ways against Sporting CP (5-1) on November 26, before finishing the 2024-2025 season’s first league phase with three more victories against Monaco (3-0), Dinamo Zagreb (3-0) and Girona (2-1).

A run marked by victories over Europe’s biggest clubs

During the 2025-2026 season, Arsenal maintained the same pace. The London club won all eight of its league-phase matches, starting with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Club on September 16, 2025.

Mikel Arteta’s side then defeated Olympiacos (2-0), Atlético de Madrid (4-0) and Slavia Prague (3-0). On November 26, 2025, they also got the better of Bayern Munich (3-1), before winning in Bruges (3-0), in Milan against Inter (3-1), and then against Kairat Almaty (3-2) on January 28, 2026. Arsenal therefore completed this phase with eight wins from eight matches.

The run continued at the start of the 2026-2027 season. In their opening match on September 9, Arsenal won 1-0 away at Napoli. On October 13, the Gunners confirmed their strong form by beating Lille 3-0. These two victories took their run of consecutive league-phase wins to 14.

Lille, the Gunners’ latest victims

Against Lille, Arsenal controlled the match and scored three goals without conceding. This latest victory extends an impressive run built on an effective attack and a consistently solid defence.

With 14 consecutive victories, Arsenal are confirming their ability to string together results in the Champions League’s new format. The Londoners’ next European fixture is a particularly demanding one: they will travel to Bayern Munich on October 21, 2026, for the third matchday of the league phase.
