The Champions League round of 16 draw has been made. FC Barcelona have been paired with Newcastle. Hansi Flick has shared his reaction.

As part of the Champions League round of 16, FC Barcelona will take on Newcastle. While the Catalans could have faced PSG as early as this stage, Blaugrana manager Hans-Dieter Flick was asked whether he was happy to avoid the reigning European champions.

"No, why? Every match is important and, above all, none are easy—we're talking about the Champions League. Newcastle also have a fantastic squad, we've seen that in their recent games and also when we played there. It's not easy, you always have to respect your opponent. Everyone wants to reach the final, us and Newcastle alike," the German said at Friday's press conference.
