Champions League: Liverpool humiliates OM at the Vélodrome
OM vs Liverpool

Bitter disappointment for OM and their supporters on Wednesday night in the Champions League. Up against Liverpool's Reds, the Marseillais conceded three goals without scoring any.

On Wednesday evening at the Vélodrome, OM endured a nightmare Champions League night against Liverpool. After holding their own against the Reds in the first half, Marseille were undone by a cunning Szoboszlai free-kick just before the break (0-1).

The second half turned into a real ordeal. Despite a brief resurgence and several chances, OM were dealt the fatal blow when Rulli, in an unfortunate twist, put the ball into his own net following a Frimpong cross (0-2). The introductions of Paixao and Aubameyang made no difference.

Backed by a fiery Vélodrome crowd, OM cracked one last time when Gakpo found the net (0-3).
