Champions League: PSG issues statement after the celebrations

Last Saturday, PSG etched their name into the history books by clinching a second consecutive Champions League title. A first for a French club! After the celebrations, the club left a message for its supporters.

Crowned champions once again, the Parisians kept the party going all day Sunday, sharing their triumph with fans in a wave of national euphoria. Scenes of jubilation that will remain etched in the memories of the capital club's faithful. And as the festivities wound down, PSG made sure to send a message to its supporters.

"What joy and pride to bring a second consecutive Champions League trophy back to Paris and to share this historic moment with our supporters and all Parisians. We saw a city come alive, singing and celebrating. This collective joy and pride will remain in our memories. Because we love Paris deeply, we were also saddened by the violence and damage that affected our city. These acts do not reflect the values of football nor the spirit of this celebration. Our team shows that football stands for unity, commitment, and solidarity. From Budapest to the Parc des Princes and across the Champ-de-Mars, our supporters have shown how this passion unites us. This second European crown will forever be a moment of collective joy, unity, and pride. Thank you to the police, emergency services, and all the staff involved. Thank you to Parisians, our supporters, and all French people for your support," wrote the club on X.
