Chelsea and Barça battle for Christ Inao Oulai

Christ Inao Oulai continues to make headlines on the transfer market. At just 20 years old, the Ivorian midfielder from Trabzonspor is catching the eye of several European giants, notably Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona.

Since arriving in Turkey in 2025 from SC Bastia, Oulai has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young talents in his position. This season, he’s delivered a string of solid performances with 27 starts for Trabzonspor. According to multiple media reports, the Turkish club is now demanding nearly €50 million to let their player go, with his contract running until 2030.

Already scouted by top European clubs in recent months, the Ivorian international is now seeing Chelsea and Barcelona take their interest to the next level. The battle could heat up after the World Cup, where Oulai has already made his debut for the Ivory Coast national team against Ecuador.
