Chelsea and Manchester United are tracking Castello Lukeba

Castello Lukeba has attracted the attention of several English clubs. According to information from Fussball-news, Chelsea and Manchester United are closely monitoring the RB Leipzig centre-back, although no official offer has yet been made.

Two English clubs on alert

At 23, Castello Lukeba has established himself at RB Leipzig since joining from Olympique Lyonnais in 2023. His performances in the Bundesliga have now earned him the interest of several Premier League clubs.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation. The French defender is nevertheless under contract with Leipzig until June 2029, placing the German club in a strong position in any potential negotiations.

Leipzig sets its terms

According to information reported by Fussball-news, RB Leipzig reportedly value their player at between €60 million and €65 million, including bonuses. A previous release clause, reportedly set at between €80 million and €90 million, has expired. Leipzig can therefore now negotiate directly with interested clubs on the basis of its own demands.

A transfer during the winter window would be unlikely. The German club would not want to weaken its defence midway through the season. The situation could nevertheless change if a sufficiently attractive financial offer were submitted, particularly with a view to the summer transfer window. For Chelsea and Manchester United, the Lukeba situation therefore remains one to watch. The French defender remains under contract with RB Leipzig until 2029.
