The decision has now been made at Chelsea. Following the dismissal of Enzo Maresca, the London board has opted to place its trust in Liam Rosenior, lured away from RC Strasbourg to lead the next chapter for the Blues. This appointment further cements the strong Strasbourg–Chelsea connection, which has already been active on the transfer market and now extends to the managerial bench.

Arriving in Alsace in the summer of 2024, Rosenior quickly distinguished himself with the coherence of his work. Under his guidance, Strasbourg delivered an impressive campaign, finishing seventh in Ligue 1 and securing European qualification, with a flawlessly managed group stage in the Europa Conference League. These results and his methods convinced BlueCo, the joint owner of both clubs, to entrust him with a much higher-profile project.

The English manager has signed a long-term contract, keeping him at the club until 2032. At 41, Rosenior is set to make his Premier League debut and face the demands of top-level European football, with the challenging mission of stabilising Chelsea and reigniting their ambitions. It's a major leap—one that matches the rise of a manager on the up.
