Chelsea renews pursuit of Samu Aghehowa

Chelsea could make another move this summer for Samu Aghehowa (21). The Spanish striker of Nigerian descent, currently playing for FC Porto, remains firmly on the London club’s radar.

Signed in 2024 from Atlético Madrid, Aghehowa quickly made his mark in Portugal. He has racked up 47 goals in 76 matches—statistics that have naturally drawn the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.

Chelsea had already shown interest before Aghehowa’s move to Porto and have never truly dropped their pursuit. According to TEAMtalk, the Blues are eager to bolster their attack and see Aghehowa as a serious option. However, Chelsea faces stiff competition from Tottenham and Newcastle. The forward is under contract until 2029 and has a high release clause, but Porto may be willing to negotiate.
