Christian Kofane has suffered an injury and will miss training for several weeks!
Cameroon's international break has left Bayer Leverkusen with an unwanted headache. Christian Kofane picked up a left thigh problem while away with his national team, and the striker is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
Injury with the national team
The trouble began on 24 September in Garoua, where Kofane had to be taken off at the interval during Cameroon's 3-1 win over the Comoros in the opening round of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. That same issue kept him out of the second qualifying fixture against Congo.
He did make a tentative return to training with the squad before the 3 October friendly with Côte d'Ivoire, but he was still some way short of full fitness. Now back with Leverkusen, the muscle injury will keep him out of action for several weeks.
