Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother makes new revelations!
Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother says she was shocked by his departure from the national team, while his international future remains dependent on Jorge Jesus.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s early departure from the Portugal camp on September 30 continues to make headlines. This time, it was his mother, Dolores Aveiro, who shared her feelings on Portuguese television channel TV 7 Dias.
The mother of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner did not hide her emotion over the way her son left the national team. “I’m sad, that’s normal. It was a shock. My son could have left through the front door, but instead he left through the back door. But no matter, God will take care of it… I cried a little. It’s also good to let go. Now we have to move forward.”
“I’ll tell the truth when we’re all together”
Dolores Aveiro also revealed a private exchange with her son after the episode. Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly told her: “Mom, don’t worry, I’ll tell you the truth when we’re all together. ” His mother then reportedly advised him to turn the page and “take it easy”.
These comments came a few days after Ronaldo published a strongly worded message on his social media accounts, in which he directly targeted Jorge Jesus.
Ronaldo reportedly does not want to return as long as Jorge Jesus remains in charge
According to reports from Portugal, the Al-Nassr striker has set a clear condition for considering a return to the national team: he reportedly no longer wants to wear the Portugal shirt as long as Jorge Jesus remains manager.
This position has now placed Ronaldo’s international future in uncertainty. At 41, the former Real Madrid player has not officially announced his international retirement, but his return would reportedly depend directly on developments regarding the Portugal managerial position.
Portugal will therefore have to move forward in the coming weeks with this question unresolved, while Ronaldo remains one of the most important symbols in the history of the national team and its all-time leading scorer.
