Christian Kouam will not continue his journey with Grasshoppers Zurich. The 20-year-old midfielder has left the Swiss club to join K. Lierse S.K., a side competing in Belgium's second division.

Having arrived in Zurich in February 2025 after a stint at Bayern Munich's youth academy, the Cameroonian player made his mark primarily with Grasshoppers' reserve team in the Promotion League. Nevertheless, he also had the chance to make his debut in the Super League.

A free agent, Kouam joins his new club without a transfer fee. The player, who holds Belgian, German, and Cameroonian nationalities, already boasts international youth experience, having represented both Belgium and Germany at various youth levels. This move offers him the chance to get more playing time and continue his development at the professional level.
