Clément Akpa attracts interest in Germany and England
Clément Akpa, Ivorian defender for AJ Auxerre, is generating increasing interest in Europe. Premier League and Bundesliga clubs are vying to sign the 23-year-old sensation, whose market value has soared in recent months.
Since his rise to Ligue 1, Clément Akpa has showcased his exceptional abilities in his 26 appearances this season in the French top flight. Utilized in various defensive positions, notably as a left-back or in the center, he has established himself as an undisputed starter in Christophe Pélissier's setup. These performances earned him his first caps with Ivory Coast in March 2025 during the 5th and 6th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
All this has not gone unnoticed by the scouts of Europe's elite clubs. In Germany, clubs like Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, and Stuttgart have already targeted Clément Akpa for the summer transfer window. In England, Wolverhampton and Everton are closely monitoring the progress of the Ivorian international.
