Clément Akpa, Auxerre's new reliable asset

At 23, Clément Akpa is establishing himself as one of the most promising defenders in Ligue 1. Arriving at Auxerre in 2023 from the National league, the Ivorian quickly silenced the doubters. Within a few months, he became an indisputable starter in Christophe Pélissier's system.

This season, he has already started 24 matches, primarily on the left flank and sometimes in the center. This adaptability is his strength. His seriousness, maturity, and discipline on the field have not gone unnoticed by his coach or foreign scouts. Clément Akpa recently celebrated his first caps with the Elephants.

According to Foot Mercato, several European clubs are showing interest: Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Frankfurt in the Bundesliga; Everton and Wolverhampton in the Premier League. His profile is appealing.
