Colombia: on vacation, Lamine Yamal sparks excitement

Crowned world champion with Spain about three weeks ago, Lamine Yamal chose Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, as the destination to enjoy his holidays.

The 19-year-old star from FC Barcelona was spotted in the historic center of the city. And Lamine Yamal's presence certainly didn't go unnoticed.

Surrounded by his security detail, Lamine Yamal attracted crowds of supporters and tourists, all hoping to catch a glimpse of the young Spanish star. Videos of his visit are circulating widely on social media.

The World Cup winner was seen greeting passersby and snapping photos with numerous fans. Cartagena’s mayor, Dumek Turbay Paz, personally welcomed Lamine Yamal, stating that the city remains "an ideal destination" for the world’s biggest sports stars.
