Congo: Claude Le Roy set to become coach of the Red Devils

Congo is banking on Claude Le Roy to revitalize its national team.

According to details from L’Équipe, Claude Le Roy will soon be appointed as the head coach of Congo’s Red Devils. The French tactician will make his return to the dugout with the mission of qualifying Congo for AFCON 2027.

Le Roy is expected to be supported by Omar Daf. The former Sochaux and Amiens manager will join the backroom staff of a side that hasn’t reached an AFCON finals since 2015.

As a reminder, Congo is in Group G of the qualifiers, alongside Cameroon, Comoros, and Namibia.
