Copa del Rey: Barça storms into the semi-finals

It's done! FC Barcelona has just eliminated Albacete, the team that knocked out Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey. Thanks to Lamine Yamal and Ronald Araujo, the Catalans have secured their place in the semi-finals.

Unlike Real Madrid, who were defeated by Albacete (2-3) in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, FC Barcelona got the job done on Tuesday night against the Spanish second division side (2-1). The Catalans were set on the path to victory in the quarter-finals by Lamine Yamal (39th minute), brilliantly assisted by De Jong.

After the break, Araujo (55') looked to have sealed the win, but Moreno reignited the suspense as stoppage time approached (87'). Unfazed, Hansi Flick's men answered quickly through Torres, whose goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.

Final score, 1-2. Barça advances to the semi-finals.
