Copa del Rey: second leg against Atlético, Barça faces a major absence

Terrible news for Barça this Sunday. Robert Lewandowski will not be available for the return leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atlético Madrid.

Although he came off the bench during Saturday night's match, Robert Lewandowski was forced to leave the pitch against Villarreal. He still managed to score a goal that helped his team pull ahead (4-1). On Sunday, medical examinations revealed a fracture of his left eye socket, forcing the striker into a mandatory period of rest.

Lewandowski will therefore be sidelined for the upcoming clash with Atlético Madrid. His absence is a heavy blow for the team, who will have to do without their star striker for this crucial Copa del Rey showdown, especially after the Blaugrana were thrashed 4-0 in the first leg.
