COSAFA U20: Malawi bounce back in style against Botswana

Malawi responded perfectly after their opening defeat in the COSAFA tournament serving as a qualifier for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations. Facing Botswana at ABB Stadium in Motola, Mozambique, the Junior Flames secured a convincing 3-0 victory.

A one-sided finish

After a closely contested match for a long time, the Malawians made the difference in the second half to secure an important win The goals in the match were scored by Misheck Billiat, Clever Kalambo and Grant Chibalo, allowing Malawi to finish strongly and claim all three points

Group C reopened

Beaten 0-2 by Zambia on the opening day, the Malawian players have moved up and now occupy second place in Group C with 3 points. On the final matchday, they will face Comoros, who lost to Zambia earlier and currently sit at the bottom.
