Côte d'Ivoire: Simon Adingra sets his sights on the 2026 World Cup

AS Monaco's new signing, Simon Adingra, spoke out this Wednesday. The Ivorian winger has set himself the major goal of returning to the Côte d'Ivoire national team just months ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Before sealing his move to AS Monaco, Simon Adingra held lengthy talks with Emerse Faé, who encouraged him to join Ligue 1 and take his career to the next level. This spell in the French top flight is the perfect step for Adingra to rediscover his best form and establish himself as a mainstay in European football.

"Getting back into the national team is also one of my ambitions. Returning to top form is crucial for me, and I even spoke with Emerse Faé, the Côte d'Ivoire head coach, who confirmed that joining AS Monaco was a great decision because it's a top Ligue 1 club," the young Ivorian told the press.

Adingra has joined Monaco on loan with a €17 million option to buy.
