Darwin Núñez on his way to Al-Hilal?
The transfer saga is nearing its conclusion. Liverpool have accepted an offer from Al-Hilal for Darwin Núñez, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Saudi club is now in talks with the Uruguayan striker to finalize personal terms. At 26, Núñez is eager to revive his career with more playing time. With Hugo Ekitike joining and serious interest in Alexander Isak, the doors to Liverpool’s attack are gradually closing for him.
Under contract until 2028, the former Benfica striker has scored 40 goals and provided 26 assists in 143 appearances for Liverpool. An honorable record, though below the club’s expectations. Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi, Al-Hilal’s new head coach, is pushing hard for Núñez’s arrival. The agreement between the clubs is already in place. Now, it’s up to the player himself to give the final green light.
If the deal is completed, Liverpool could immediately reinvest in Alexander Isak, who is also on the radar of the Saudi PIF fund.
