Degerfors activates purchase option for Yiriyon Gideon

Degerfors IF has made the permanent transfer of Yiriyon Gideon official. Arriving on loan at the start of the season from Inter Allies FC, the 19-year-old Ghanaian midfielder impressed the Swedish management, who decided to activate his purchase option.

The player is now tied to the club until 2029

Since his arrival in the Allsvenskan, Gideon has featured in nine league matches, starting in seven of them, and has found the net once. His performances have been enough to convince Degerfors to bet on him for the long term.

Before this move, the young Ghanaian also played for Umeå FC, where he delivered two assists in twelve Superettan appearances.
