Democratic Republic of Congo: Goalkeeper loses his life in a traffic accident
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, goalkeeper Klaus Kindoki Nkenzi passed away late Saturday night in Kinshasa as a result of a car accident, according to journalist Mervil Welo from Africa Top Sports.
Klaus Kindoki Nkenzi made his mark with both RCK and AC Kuya Sport. In 2019, he moved abroad to continue his career in Tanzania, guarding the posts for Young Africans, one of the country’s most storied clubs.
The sadness runs deep. According to Africa Top Sports, just a few hours before the tragedy, he was seen at the Tata Raphael Stadium—smiling broadly as he watched a Congo Cup match.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and the entire Congolese football community.
