Denis Bouanga does not want to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami

Lionel Messi's Inter Miami aimed to make a splash in MLS by signing Denis Bouanga, but Los Angeles FC turned down the €11 million offer, according to The Athletic.

The 31-year-old Gabonese forward, the undisputed star of the California side, has no intention of leaving his club and may even extend his contract beyond 2027. Having arrived from Saint-Étienne in 2022 for less than five million euros, Bouanga quickly established himself as one of the league's top attackers.

Last season, Denis Bouanga netted 32 goals and delivered 11 assists in 46 matches, going toe-to-toe with Lionel Messi for the top scorer title and playing a pivotal role in Los Angeles FC's capture of three major trophies.
