Djaoui Cisse linked to Stade Rennais until 2029
On April 1, 2025, Djaoui CissΓ© signed a two-year contract extension with Stade Rennais. The young midfielder, aged 21, is now tied to the Breton club until 2029.
Djaoui CissΓ© is a young talent, discreet yet effective. He has shown remarkable progress since his professional debut. After making only brief appearances last season (just three minutes of play against Clermont and Marseille), he made a breakthrough in the match against Strasbourg in February 2025. He was thrust into action at the last minute due to Azor Matusiwa's injury.
"He didn't know he was going to play, he found out during the team talk after Azor Matusiwa's last-minute injury," said his coach Habib Beye.
Since then, he has delivered convincing performances, with seven starts in Ligue 1 and a goal scored against Montpellier, a superb strike from outside the box. Upon the announcement of CissΓ©'s new contract, Arnaud Pouille, Executive President β General Manager of Stade Rennais, expressed his satisfaction:
"Congratulations to Djaoui for seizing his opportunity, to the coach and staff for trusting him, and to the teams that scouted and trained him."
For Djaoui CissΓ©, this contract extension is a significant step in his young career. "I am obviously very happy to continue the adventure with my training club. I try in every match to repay the trust of the coach and staff."
