On Monday, Real Madrid responded to the violent earthquake that struck Colombia.

Registering a magnitude of 7.4, the earthquake hit western Colombia and was notably felt in both Bogota and Cali. According to the initial reports, at least 48 people lost their lives and several infrastructures were severely impacted. Operations at several airports have been suspended to allow for damage assessments. In the wake of this tragedy, Real Madrid made sure to send a message of support to the Colombian people.

In an official statement, the Madrid club offered its condolences to the families of the victims and assured Colombia of its full solidarity. "Real Madrid C. F., its president, and its board of directors wish to express their condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to all the people of Colombia, after the earthquake that struck this country, which is so dear to us, in recent hours. At Real Madrid, we wish to send them all our solidarity and hope for the swiftest possible recovery for the injured, to whom we send all our affection.", the club wrote.
