Harry Kane wants to play all four of England’s matches during this international break. The Three Lions captain intends to remain a starter despite the busy schedule, a desire publicly discussed by his manager Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel wants to limit rotation

After England’s defeat to Spain (3-2) on Saturday in the opening match of the Nations League, Harry Kane played 83 minutes and scored one of England’s goals. Asked about managing his squad, Thomas Tuchel explained that he did not want to make too many changes, while acknowledging that the situation could force him to do so:

To be honest, I would prefer not to rotate. I’m not sure that will be possible. Ideally, I would like to play the matches with at least six or seven starting players whom we trust.

Kane expected to face the Czech Republic

England’s next fixture is scheduled for Tuesday against the Czech Republic. Kane wants to be involved in this match, as well as the other two games during this international period. After the defeat to Spain, Tuchel is expecting a reaction from his team. The German manager stressed the need for his players to adopt an attacking approach.

We have to be proactive and give everything. There is no room for conservative or overly cautious football.

The 33-year-old striker therefore remains central to Tuchel’s plans, as England look to respond in their next fixture.
