Espérance de Tunis finalizes Lucas Ribeiro deal (official)
Espérance Sportive de Tunis has officially announced this Thursday the signing of Brazilian winger Lucas Ribeiro (27), who joins Maher Kanzari's squad ahead of the new season.
In a statement published on its social media channels, the Bab Souika club revealed that its vice president, Chokri Ouaer, traveled to Libya on Wednesday night to finalize the last formalities of the transfer.
The statement specifies: "Last night, the vice president of Espérance Sportive de Tunis, Chokri Ouaer, traveled to Libya to finalize the procedures related to the transfer of Brazilian player Lucas Ribeiro to our club."
The club adds: "A meeting was held this Thursday between a delegation from Espérance Sportive de Tunis, led by Chokri Ouaer, and a delegation from Al-Ittihad SC of Libya, headed by its executive director, Abdelmajid Saleh. Both parties finalized all administrative procedures and details of this operation."
EST concluded its statement with a message of gratitude to the Libyan club: "Espérance Sportive de Tunis, under the presidency of Hamdi Meddeb, extends its sincere thanks to its brother club, Al-Ittihad SC, for their warm welcome and hospitality. These gestures are a testament to the strong relationship between the two clubs and pave the way for even greater cooperation in the future."

Lucas Ribeiro arrives at Espérance after making a name for himself on African pitches, where he established himself as one of the most effective attacking wingers thanks to his blistering pace, dribbling ability, and clinical finishing in front of goal.
Valued at €1.5 million according to the latest Transfermarkt estimates, the Brazilian has seen his market value drop by €1 million compared to 2025.
During his spell at Mamelodi Sundowns, he featured in 88 matches across all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 23 assists.
