Everton: Idrissa Gana Gueye wants to stay
Idrissa Gana Gueye hasn't said his last word with Everton. While tempting offers have come from Saudi Arabia, the Senegalese midfielder seems to prefer loyalty over financial comfort.
In an interview on Talents d’Afrique on Canal+, the former PSG player expressed his attachment to the English club:
I love this club, I feel good here, surrounded by wonderful people.
At 35, Idrissa Gana Gueye still has plenty of energy to spare. Proof of this, he participated in 35 matches this season, providing three assists and playing a key role in the fight for survival. His contract extension at Everton is not yet finalized, but everything suggests it is on the right track.
