Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat maintains fine form in Zim PSL
Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat maintained his fine form as Scottland FC powered to a 2-0 win over Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium over the weekend.
The defending Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, thanks to a low-drilled strike from Moses Shidolo.
Billiat put the game to bed in the 80th minute to ensure Scottland secure the maximum points away from home as they look to defend their league crown.
Scottland are five points clear at the summit of the PSL table, having accumulated 40 points in 19 matches, comprising of 11 wins, seven draws, and a solitary defeat.
Meanwhile, Billiat took his tally to eight goals and six assists in 16 league outings, emerging as a strong contender for the prestigious Footballer of the Season award.
The 35-year-old experienced talisman returned to his native Zimbabwe in 2024, joining the now-relegated Yadah FC on a free transfer after his exit at Chiefs.
Billiat, alongside Knowledge Musona, is set for a reunion with the Soweto giants in the third edition of the Toyota Cup in South Africa next month.
Scottland will square off against Chiefs in the Glamour Boys' annual pre-season tournament at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on 26 July.
