Ex-PSL goalkeeper joins Sekhukhune United

Sekhukhune United have roped in legendary Zimbabwean goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini as their Dstv Diski Challenge [DDC] goalkeeper coach, Foot Africa can confirm.

The veteran shot-stopper retired one year ago to embark on a new chapter as a trainer after a career spanning 24 years.

Kapini cut his professional teeth in the 2000/01 season with Highlanders in his homeland, before touching down to South Africa to join Platinum Stars in January 2007.

He went on to play for AmaZulu, Highlands Park, where he had two stints in the topflight and the third tier and also turned out for Sekhukhune.

Remarkably, Kapini is honing his tactical side of the game as he was recently pictured in a CAF C coaching course alongside Willard Katsande and Vuyo Mere.
